RAFI and crossbase:
Digitized into the future

RAFI values a flexible, open PIM system that allows the company to implement customizations independently.

"The crossbase database model has a flexible and stringent structure. It can be used to map highly complex data structures and correlations. This enabled us to successfully implement all the requirements for the functionality of the RAFI eCatalog."

Based on the crossbase standard software, a PIM, MAM, CMS and cross-media solution was implemented for RAFI and the two existing PIM and MAM systems were replaced and the data migrated accordingly.

The articles are continuously imported with basic data via the SAP XML interface. In crossbase, the articles are classified in the product structure and technical features and product relationships are also maintained. The products are referenced in marketing-specific product views for the corresponding sales channels so that they can be used in the printed catalogs and online stores in a market-specific manner.

The integrated MAM is used to manage product photos, dimensional and 3D drawings (from the CAD system as DXF and STEP), circuit diagrams, graphics and diagrams and the graphics converter automatically generates additional image formats and language variants for use on the Internet and in print production. Product-independent images, documents and videos for companies and images are also managed.
